Althan® Throat Spray is a medical device in the form of a throat spray that, when used, coats the mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, the vocal cords, and the larynx, forming a mucoadhesive film that protects against the irritating effects of external factors (e.g., bacteria, viruses).
This medical device contains natural extracts of Iceland moss, mallow, and linden, rich in mucilaginous substances that coat the mucous membrane, protecting and shielding the sensory nerve endings responsible for triggering a sore throat and the cough reflex.
The sodium hyaluronate contained in the medical device (a component of the film it forms) additionally provides intense hydration to the dry and irritated mucous membrane, bringing relief.
Thanks to the properties of these ingredients, Althan® Throat Spray protects the throat, restores balance to the irritated and dry mucous membrane, and alleviates symptoms associated with a dry cough and hoarseness.
Demineralized water, xylitol, Iceland moss, mallow extract, linden extract, sodium hyaluronate, lemon flavoring, benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, glycerin.
This product is for oral use. Due to the presence of natural plant extracts in the product, sediment may form at the bottom of the bottle. Therefore, it is recommended to shake the bottle vigorously each time before use. After using the product, a small amount may remain at the bottom of the bottle; this is due to the extra product included in the formulation.
Spray the product onto the back of the throat after a meal.
For hygiene reasons and to prevent the spread of infection, it is recommended that one person use only one product.
To preserve the product’s properties, do not tamper with the applicator.
If in doubt, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult a doctor.
For children over 1 year of age, this medical device should be used under adult supervision.
Do not use the product after the expiration date printed on the packaging, or if the immediate packaging is damaged.
Children 1 year of age and older: Spray 1–2 doses onto the back of the throat after meals several times a day
Adults: Spray 2–3 doses onto the back of the throat after meals several times a day
Hypersensitivity (allergy) to the product’s ingredients.
