Dosage

There are no recommendations to take Urosept exclusively at night. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age should take 2 tablets of Urosept 3 times a day, with a glass of water, or as directed by a doctor. This means that the last dose can be taken in the evening, but it is not necessary to take the medication immediately before bedtime. It is worth noting that the ingredients in Urosept have a mild diuretic effect (birch leaf, bean pericarp), so in some people, taking the medication late in the day may result in more frequent urination at night.
Urosept is used as an adjunct in the treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and urinary tract stones. This means that the medication can support the treatment of urinary tract infections prescribed by a doctor and is also effective in preventing UTIs. It is therefore advisable to use Urosept at the first signs of a urinary tract infection, while monitoring the patient’s health. Implementing the appropriate treatment early enough—one that supports the urinary tract’s natural defense mechanisms—can, in many cases, halt the progression of the infection. However, Urosept is not a substitute for antibiotic therapy when it is necessary.
Urosept may be used as an adjunct in the treatment of urinary tract infections, but it is not a typical antibacterial medication and does not eliminate bacteria from the urine. If a urine test confirms the presence of bacteria or if symptoms of a bacterial urinary tract infection are present—such as pain during urination, frequent urination, a strong urge to urinate, or fever—and especially if these symptoms worsen—it is necessary to consult a doctor. In such situations, treatment of the underlying cause, such as with an antibiotic, may be necessary, and this should be determined by a specialist.
Urosept is not indicated for the treatment of kidney pain. The drug is used as an adjunctive treatment for urinary tract infections and urinary tract stones. Pain in the kidney area alone can have various causes, and sometimes requires urgent diagnosis; it should not be taken lightly. Severe pain in the kidney area, fever, chills, or blood in the urine always require a medical consultation.
