Castor oil

The active substance of the drug is castor oil.
1 g of oral liquid contains 1 g of castor oil.

Traditionally as a laxative for constipation.

Use orally.

Adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 teaspoons of castor oil (4-8 g) as a single dose.
Adults: 1-2 tablespoons of castor oil (12-24 g) as a single dose.

Like any drug, this medication can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them.

Castor oil can cause irritation of the small intestine, hyperemia of the large intestine and pelvic organs. Castor oil can cause a rash among particularly sensitive people.

Some people may experience other side effects while using castor oil.

When not to use castor oil:
– in case of allergy (hypersensitivity) to castor oil,
– in inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract,
– in people with intestinal obstruction, with inflammatory conditions of abdominal organs, including appendicitis, with abdominal pain of unclear etiology.
