The active substance of the drug isichthammol (Ichthammolum)
1 g of skin ointment contains 100 mg of ichthamol
The other ingredients are: lanolin, yellow petroleum jelly.
Ichthammol ointment is used in eczema, boils and acne as a bacteriostatic agent and to facilitate the departure of pus.
This drug should always be used exactly as described in the patient leaflet, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Topical drug for use on intact skin.
Lubricate diseased skin areas with a thin layer of ointment 1 to 2 times a day.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the product.
If the patient is allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this drug.
The drug ichthyol ointment contains lanolin, which may cause a local skin reaction (such as contact dermatitis).
