Pedipur S
The anti-sweat action of Pedipur S medical device is induced by metenamine, which owes its properties to formic aldehyde released upon contact with acidic sweat. Formic aldehyde reduces the activity of sweat glands, inhibits bacterial activity, and eliminates excessive sweating.
The sulfur contained in Pedipur S supports the action of metenamine. When rubbed into the skin, it undergoes metabolic transformations into sulfur compounds, showing keratolytic, drying properties, causing desquamation of the horny layer of the epidermis. It also has bactericidal and fungicidal effects.
