Active substance
Thick extract of horse-chestnut seed (Hippocastani seminis extractum spissum; DER: 6-9:1; extracting solvent methanol 90 % (v/v)) – 83.5 mg/g Heparin sodium (Heparinum natricum) – 50 U/g
Indications
Esceven® gel is a medicinal product traditionally used in symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, e.g. pains, the sensation of heavy legs, night cramps in the calf muscles, itching and swelling.
Dosage and administration
Adults and children over 12 years of age: rub 1 g of the gel (a 3 to 4 cm long strip) into the skin on the legs 3 times a day. Use for 2 weeks. Contraindications: Do not use Esceven® gel in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. Do not apply on open wounds, mucous membranes and around the eyes or in chronic kidney disorders.
