Over-the-counter (OTC) medications
A medication used as an adjunctive treatment for urinary problems associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
1 tablet contains 46 mg of concentrated extract of Prunus africana ( Hook f.) Kalkm., cortex (African plum bark) (200:1), solvent: methylene chloride.
Excipients with known effects: sucrose – 82.5 mg, sunset yellow FCF (E 110) – 1.1 mg.
This product is intended exclusively for men as an adjunctive treatment for urinary disorders occurring in the early stages of benign prostatic hyperplasia — Stages I and II according to Alcena (frequent urination, nocturia, difficulty urinating, dribbling).
Adults: Take 1–2 tablets twice daily, equivalent to 92–184 mg of African plum bark extract, with meals, for at least 4 weeks. The treatment may be repeated if necessary.
Route of administration: oral.
Hypersensitivity to African plum bark extract, to plants ofthe Rosaceae family, or to any of the excipients.
This product must not be used in patients with a diagnosed prostate cancer.
