Esceven® coated tablets are used to treat symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, such as swelling, calf cramps, itching, pain, and a feeling of heaviness in the legs, as well as varicose veins. For use in individuals 12 years of age and older.
1 tablet contains 167 mg of dry extract from Aesculus hippocastanum L., semen (horse chestnut seeds)
(5–9:1). Solvent: 80% ethanol (V/V).
This medicinal product is indicated for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Traditionally, this product is used to treat symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, such as: swelling, calf cramps, itching, pain, and a feeling of heaviness in the legs, as well as varicose veins.
Dosage
Children: Esceven should not be used in children below 12 years of age.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 3 times a day for 1 tablet after eating.
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
Kidney failure.

The active ingredient in this preparation is a dry extract of horse chestnut seeds (Hippocastani seminis extractum siccum), which contains escin. This substance increases the tone of venous vessels, supporting the proper functioning of the venous system and alleviating symptoms associated with venous insufficiency.
Esceven tablets should be taken regularly, according to the recommended dosage. However, if there is no improvement after 14 days of use or if the patient feels worse, they should see a doctor. The drug manufacturer does not specify how long after starting treatment the first effects of the medication will appear. However, it is important to remember that improvement does not always occur immediately. In cases of chronic venous insufficiency, treatment often requires consistency and the simultaneous implementation of lifestyle recommendations.
Esceven tablets are available over the counter, but they are not suitable for all patients. This medication should not be used in cases of allergy to dry horse chestnut seed extract or any of the drug’s ingredients, nor in patients with renal insufficiency, children under 12 years of age (there are no studies confirming the safety of this medication in this patient group), pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.
Esceven tablets should be taken regularly according to the following schedule: 1 tablet 3 times a day after meals. If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose to make up for the missed tablet. However, if your symptoms do not improve or worsen after 14 days of regular use, you should consult a doctor.
