Active substance
Dried pulverised juice of Aloe vera leaves, with anthranoid content of 18% on the aloine basis – 35 mg; Frangula cortex dry extract with anthranoid content of 15% as aloin – 42 mg. One tablet contains 10 – 15 mg of anthranoid compounds on as aloin.
Indications
Herbal medicine for short term administration in sporadic constipation.
Dosage and administration
Adolescents over 12 years of age, adults, seniors: 1 to 2 coated tablets in the evening with a glass of water. The proper singular dose is the lowest dose which causes effortless defecation with a soft stool. Do not exceed the daily dose of 30 mg of anthranoid compounds which is approximately 2 tablets a day. Administration for more than 1 or 2 weeks requires medical advice.
Contraindications
Proven hypersensitivity to the medical substances or any component of the product. Cases of intestinal obstruction and constriction, intestinal atonia, appendicitis, inflammatory disorders of the large intestine (e.g. Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis); abdominal pains of unknown origin; severe dehydration with insufficiency of water and electrolytes. Children under 12 years of age.
